Caunton Engineering are pleased to have received the contract from main contractor TSL Ltd for the framing for a new build warehouse and office block in Birmingham . Caunton are designing and supplying and erecting over 1100te of structural steelwork. The building comprises a total development area of 290,000sq.ft, with the warehouse height 18m to the haunch and the office block comprising two storeys and a roof garden.
The site itself, Gravelly Point, is an exciting logistics manufacturing development extending to approximately 16 acres, strategically located close to Junction 6 M6 (Spaghetti Junction) on Birmingham’s premier Industrial and Distribution Estate, Gravelly Industrial Park. The project is designed to achieve an EPC A rating and is targeting a BREEAM New Construction 2018 Outstanding and to be a Net Zero Carbon development. KJ Tait, the professional practice of Building Services Engineers, are the BREEAM Assessors on this project and are also providing BREEAM Approved Professional services.
