Caunton Engineering were awarded the contract by main contractor, Benniman Construction, for the structural steelwork, for what was in effect, the duplication of a warehouse previously built at ProLogis, Apex Park, Daventry, using Caunton's steelwork. Back in 2016, Caunton supplied the steelwork on this site for a 401,000sq.ft warehouse / production unit for a leading garden and wild bird care products producer, Gardman. This suffered a catastrophic fire in 2018m the site was cleared, and this latest warehouse has replaced it.

Caunton supplied 2,211 tonnes of structural steelwork for this portal framed warehouse, which included internal and external office framing.

It was reported that ProLogis had signed an agreement with Hankook Tyre UK Ltd, for the 350,000sq.ft units. Hankook Tyre and Technology, was at the time, one of the world's leading tyre manufacturers.

Caunton were delighted to have this opportunity, to yet again, design supply and erect steelwork for this site.
