Caunton Engineering's structural engineering team were delighted when the Institution of Structural Engineers, East Midlands Regional Group, announced their submission for the 2024 Structural Engineering Award, Best New Project Category, was elected as the joint winner. Their entry showcased the £140 million ETEX Plasterboard Manufacturing Plant in Bristol, where Caunton's Structural Engineers skilfully designed the 2,500te of structural steelwork that was required.

IStructE Past President, Bob McKittrick and East Midlands Regional Chair, Jo Renold-Smith presented the award to Caunton's Lead Structural Engineer, Jack Handley at the Regional Group's Annual Dinner, hosted at the Derby Museum of Making.
