There was good news in the New Steel Construction February issue regarding the new The Range warehouse in Stowmarket, Suffolk, where Caunton recently supplied over 3,000te of steelwork to main contractor Winvic Construction.

The building measures in plan a massive 408 metres by 269 metres. The construction of this distribution centre paves the way for the opening of the Gateway 14 development, which is said to be the largest business, innovation and logistics park in East Anglia.

Gateway 14 Chairman, Sir Christopher Howarth is quoted saying: "This is a great day for Stowmarket and the surrounding region. Not only does it bring over 1,600 jobs to this prime location, but it also delivers the first building in the new, highly sustainable mixed use Gateway 14 development."

Caunton are delighted to have played a part in the progress of this development.
