Caunton steelwork which could be called 'a duplication'

Caunton have been awarded the contract by main contractor, Benniman Construction, for the structural steelwork for what is in effect the duplication of a warehouse previously built at Prologis Apex Park, Daventry, using Caunton's steelwork. Back in 2016, Caunton supplied the steelwork on this site for a 401,000sq.ft warehouse / production unit for a leading gardening and wild bird care products provider, Gardman. This suffered a catastrophic fire in 2018. This site was cleared and this new warehouse will replace it.

It is reported that Prologis, the UK's leading developer of logistics property, has signed an agreement with Hankook Tyre UK Ltd, for the new 350,000sq.ft unit. Hankook Tyre and Technology is one of the world's leading tyre manufacturers.

Caunton are delighted to have this opportunity to yet again design, supply and erect steelwork for this site - over a thousand tonnes of steelwork for this portal framed structure which includes internal and external office framing.

Caunton are very pleased to be working again for Benniman Construction. This Bromsgrove based company, formed in 1967, has grown as an independent and privately owned construction company, developing its portfolio and expertise in industrial, commercial, retail, primary care and fit-out. Caunton are also naturally pleased and complimented that Benniman Construction states that it prides ourselves on the quality of workmanship from both their directly employed workforce, through to the subcontractors they employ.
