Chris Martin has recently become the latest Caunton employee to successfully complete the Institution of Structural Engineers Examination and Chartered Professional Review becoming the tenth Chartered Engineer in our Design Team.
Chris joined Caunton in 2008 straight from A-levels on a Year in Industry placement and was subsequently sponsored by Caunton to complete BSc.(Hons) and MSc. at Nottingham Trent University on a part-time basis. He has benefited from the company’s in depth, long term training scheme, which has enabled him to progress to his current position as Senior Structural Engineer and attain the coveted Chartered Structural Engineer Status.
Caunton have been training Engineers for many years and this was formalised in 2002 with the first registration of our Accredited Training Scheme with the ICE. More recently, we have also registered with the Institution of Structural Engineers as a training provider. Our training schemes support candidates for both Associate and Chartered membership of both institutions, via a number of routes and qualification levels.
Caunton have a long history of training not only Civil and Structural Engineers but people all across the business and this is most notable demonstrated by the fact that several members of the current management started their careers as Caunton apprentices.
We would like to congratulate Chris on his success on becoming a Chartered Structural Engineer.
