Caunton is proud of its reputation for On Time delivery of fabricated steelwork to the construction site. This often means fabricating well ahead of delivery time in order to meet speedy erection programmes and thus requiring the temporary storage of the completed steelwork. This often includes miscellaneous metal work or secondary steel products such as stairs, handrails, cat ladders, piece-large platforms and open mesh.

As Caunton has continued to grow, this need to store the steelwork has increased significantly. To solve this problem Caunton have now built a large storage area- a trailer park- adjacent most conveniently to the company's Paint Facilities. The photograph shows this nearly 200,000 sq. ft. paved area which has a full capacity of up to 7,000te of fabricated steelwork. This the company feels will satisfy storage requirements for some considerable time as the company continues to grow.

The site opened for use early this year. Caunton Engineering is pleased that it has thereby introduced a more sustainable and efficient means of steelwork storage and contracting.
