Caunton Engineering Celebrates a Remarkable Year of Success in 2024

Caunton Engineering has enjoyed a most successful year in 2024, with the whole company sharing achievements in various ways.

Some of the highlights of the successful year include: being awarded joint winners of the IStructE East Midlands Regional Group, Best New Project Category, where our Structural Engineers skilfully designed 2,500te of steelwork for the winning project, whilst The Hub Victoria was shortlisted for the 'Retrofit Project of the Year' at the British Construction Industry Awards. 2024 also saw one of our employees, Amanda, celebrate her 40th year working for Caunton, an outstanding achievement.

This year our Training Academy proudly reached its 20th anniversary and all 6 of its Apprentices who undertook their End Point Assessment this summer successfully completed their Apprenticeships. These achievements highlight the Academy's dedication to excellence in training and the hard work of its Apprentices.

Our office-based employees have also seen success throughout the year. Leon, one of our Senior Structural Engineers became our latest employee to successfully complete the Institution of Structural Engineers Chartered Professional Review and become the eighth Chartered Engineer in our Design Team. Whilst our Managing Director, Matthew Shimwell and Technical Director, Robert Weeden have seen success in their contribution to the BCSA and SCI's "Best Practice Guide for Low Carbon Steel Buildings" design guide.

Over the course of this year the company has also seen the launch of its Social Value Document, retain its Investors in People Silver Award and held a visit for our local Member of Parliament, Juliet Campbell MP.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to everyone on their success this year, making 2024 such a successful and fulfilling year for Caunton Engineering.
