Caunton Engineering have recently worked on a new hatchery in Newark-on-Trent for Moy Park, working for main contractor, Clegg Food Projects.
Moy Park is reported to be one of the UK's top ten food companies, Northern Ireland's largest private sector business and one of Europe's leading poultry producers.
The new 8,085 square metres hatchery building and ancillary buildings are designed to produce 2.4m birds a week.
The main steelwork comprised a triple-span portal frame for the production facility. The steel frame required nearly 400te of steel and was designed by consulting engineers, Thomas Consulting. Connections are designed by the Caunton technical team.
