Caunton designed and supplied the structural steelwork for a new John Lewis Group store in Basingstoke. The site, Basing View, is a 65 acre business park in the heart of Basingstoke town and the developer of this new store is Muse Developments Basingstoke.


Caunton worked for main contractor Bowmer and Kirkland, erecting over 900te of steelwork. The multi-million pound development comprises a 47,500 square foot John Lewis at Home store as well as a 25,500 square foot Waitrose food store and a customer café. Caunton have also completed the supply of steelwork for a similar store in Horsham. On that occasion, the developer was Westrock and the main contractor Simons Construction.
