Caunton supplied over 700 tonnes of structural steelwork to main contractor Winvic Construction on a design and build basis for this distribution centre. The warehouse has four bays of portal frame steelwork aggregating to a 97 metre total span, with a total length of 275 metres and a height to eaves of 14metres.
The proposed distribution centre is one of two phases of Prologis Park and is a speculative development, meaning that Prologis UK are building in anticipation of filling the building, rather than having businesses lined up.
Prologis UK, a major developer of industrial land, are now developing a 310,000 square foot building on the former Renault Trucks site in Boscombe Road, Dunstable.
