Caunton are designing, supplying and erecting over 1200te of structural steelwork for a new Tesco store. This is part of an 11.2-acre scheme regenerating the old C&A site in the Highams Park area near Chingford in Waltham Forest This development, due for completion in November 2012, includes the construction of the 37,000 sq ft Tesco superstore with basement car parking, and an apartments block. Caunton’s contract is with McLaren Construction and provides for the Tesco store frame, permitting basement car parking below, and podium steel supporting the residential units.
