Caunton supplied over 300te of fabricated steelwork for the new £12 million rehabilitation unit at St George’s Hospital in Lincoln. The 45 bed male and female unit which is being procured via the NHS National Procure21 framework was due for substantial completion in October 2011. The building work by main contractor Costain involved the demolition of the existing Yarborough Court located at the rear of the Hospital. It will replace the two existing in-patient wards already on the site and a third female-only ward which will be built which is a new development for the Trust. The one-storey rehabilitation facility was fully operational in March 2012 and will accommodate a total of 45 service users at any one time.
