Caunton supplied the steelwork for a new manufacturing facility in Leek. The client is Adams Food Ingredients, well known to older readers as once the manufacturers of Adams Butter. After 25 years at Prince Street in Leek, the company moved to a brand new manufacturing site in the town. This new facility will offer a range of new product opportunities plus an Innovation Centre, for joint development and value engineering projects.
Since the 1920’s the company has grown in experience and expertise in the development and supply of quality dairy ingredients. The butter trademark ceased with the acquisition by the Irish Dairy Board in the 1970’s when the brand became Kerrygold.
The 400te of steelwork required encompasses a triple span portal frame with mezzanine floors. There is a two storey steel framed office block adjoining.
