Most apprentices at Caunton Engineering receive their training and education through the company's own accredited Training Academy. However, in addition to this, we encourage continued development of our employees across the whole business by supporting our employees with level 4, 5 and 6 (Degree) Apprenticeships. These include Quantity Surveying, Contracts Management, Estimating and Structural Engineering.
A good example of this is Molly Careless, who joined the company in 2018 in the Administration Department looking at material traceability. Molly progressed successfully, such that she is now training as an apprentice quantity surveyor. Molly is currently completing a Level 6, Degree Apprenticeship at Nottingham Trent University. Having joined the company as a university graduate, with its onerous self-funding requirements, she is pleased to find that her fees for her training and education are being fully paid through the apprentice levy scheme.
Molly was pleased to say: "I enjoy doing an apprenticeship and learning on the job, all whilst my course is funded."
