Marking 2024 National Apprenticeship Week - Aaron Berridge becomes one of our first apprentices to complete the Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we want to celebrate our apprentices' success stories. Aaron Berridge, a Caunton Engineering apprentice in fabrication and welding has become one of the company's first apprentices to successfully complete the Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.

At the end of the apprenticeship, candidates are required to complete an end point assessment. This involves an independent assessor visiting Caunton's works to observe the apprentice as they carry out their fabrication and welding duties. Alongside this, the apprentice then takes part in an hour long interview. As a result of this, it is decided whether they are competent and capable of becoming a qualified plater / welder. This qualification replaces the old NVQ.

Aaron did really well and was passed successfully by the end point assessment assessor. He worked incredibly hard and showed a great commitment to become a success.

Everyone within the Caunton Training Academy and at Caunton Engineering are very proud of all he has achieved.
