We are very pleased to be sponsoring the Caunton ‘Engineering and Innovation Award’ at the University of Nottingham.

To win the award, final year MEng and MSc students were set a demanding brief - to design a tennis court arena with a retractable roof.

Caunton’s own engineers have been lending their expertise and working closely with the students in developing their designs. The quality and creativity of the finished designs was outstanding, and most certainly represents Engineering Excellence and Innovation. The winning project team was presented with their award by Matthew Shimwell (Caunton MD) at their graduation ceremony on Monday. I’m sure you’ll agree that the winning design showcases the very best of what structural steel brings to a project!
