Steel Bricks ™ construction system named as component for GE Hitachi’s Small Modular Reactor – and a recognition by GE Hitachi’s Vice President of Caunton’s ‘very simple fabrication process’

Caunton Engineering were delighted to learn that the Steel Bricks ™ construction system has been named as a component for GE Hitachi’s Small Modular Reactor. GE Hitachi’s Vice President and BWRX 300 Product Director, Brian Johnson was speaking recently to the Nuclear Alternative Project based in Puerto Rico and recognised the “very simple fabrication process” provided by the Steel Bricks ™ construction system, saying it “offers a much simpler design from a manufacturability standpoint than traditional steel composite structures.” Caunton Engineering are delighted to have played a major part in developing the fabrication process.
